Actress, model and singer Izabella Scorupco was born in the northern Polish village of Bialystok, before being taken to Sweden where her mother raised her. During her teen years she studied music and drama. At 17 she was discovered by a Swedish film director, who cast her in the feature film No One Can Love Like Us (1988). The film not only made her a teen idol in her local town, it fostered her interest in the art.

Izabella then launched her career as a photographic model and became successful in Sweden and the rest of Europe. During her modeling career, she appeared in television series and films, making use of her fluency in four languages. She also began her singing career. After releasing her first single, "Substitute," she released the album IZA which went gold.

Returning to film work in the mid '90s, Izabella immediately won the lead role in the Swedish film Petri Tears (1995), followed by her Hollywood debut in the James Bond film, GoldenEye (1995) playing the Russian computer expert Natalya Simonova.

Though she had garnered worldwide exposure from the film, Izabella returned home for her next few film projects and didn't return to Hollywood until she landed major roles in the action films, Vertical Limit (2000) and Reign of Fire (2002).

She played Sarah in the horror film Exorcist: The Beginning (2004), and played a guest role on an episode of the fourth season of the action series Alias in 2005, starring Jennifer Garner and created by JJ Abrams.

Absent from the small screen for several years, the European actress ended a long break when she agreed to take part in the Swedish series Hidden: Förstfödd, a fantasy thriller set in Stockholm and unveiled in 2019.

In the late 1990s, Izabella Scorupco was briefly married to former NHL hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski. This union gave birth to a daughter, Julia, in 1997. The actress took over as husband in 2003 when she said yes to Jeffrey Raymond, a few months after the arrival of her son, Jacob Martin Raymond. The love story officially ended in 2015, but Cupid put Karl Rosengren on his way with whom she married just four years later.
