BILL HADER

Date of Birth: June 7, 1978

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bill Hader's career took off when he became a regular cast member of Saturday Night Live in 2005. He has since segued into the feature film world with an impressive list of credits under his belt.

Following small roles in major feature films such as You, Me and Dupree (2006), Knocked Up and Superbad, he played Jason Segel's compassionate yet comedic step-brother in the box-office surprise hit Forgetting Sarah Marshall, then made a memorable cameo in the action/comedy Pineapple Express.

Bill appeared in the blockbuster comedy Tropic Thunder (written and directed by Ben stiller, who also starred in the film) as the insecure studio executive Rob Slolom who has to contend with the antics of Tom Cruise's crazed studio head character, Les Grossman. He reunited with Stiller for the worldwide hit, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and appeared in Adventureland, which reunited him with his Superbad director, Greg Mottola.

He starred alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the blockbuster Men in Black 3 (2012) and provided the voice of Guy Gagné in the animated DreamWorks picture Turbo (2013). He has also provided voices for the Disney films Inside Out (2015) and Finding Dory (2016).

Bill made his debut as a romantic lead in the comedy Trainwreck (2015) opposite Amy Schumer and appeared as Bloodbottler in The BFG (2016), based on Roald Dohl's classic book and directed by Steven Spielberg.

His latest efforts include the comedies Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016) and Sausage Party (2016), as well as the action sci-fi film Power Rangers (2017) with Elizabeth Banks.

Bill currently stars in HBO's comedy crime series Barry in the title role, and in September 2018, won his first solo Emmy award for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He also appears in the documentary Love, Gilda (2018), which chronicles the life and death of Saturday Night Live alumni, Gilda Radner.

Most recently on the big screen, Bill played the role of Mike in the horror sequel IT: Chapter Two (2019).

In his spare time, Bill enjoys comic books, baseball and science fiction novels. He and his wife, filmmaker Maggie Carey, filed for divorce in 2017. They have three children together.
