BELLA HEATHCOTE

Date of Birth: May 27, 1987

After graduating from the Korowa Anglican Girls' School, Melborne-born actress Bella Heathcote made her on-screen acting debut in the 2008 Australian horror flick Acolytes. She then grabbed a recurring role on the popular Australian soap opera Neighbours — the same show that has launched the careers of many now well-known actors, including Margot Robbie. It was after starring in Neighbours that Bella received the 2010 Heath Ledger Scholarship, which includes a cash prize of $10,000 USD as well as a flight to the U.S. to help the recipient transition their career to the American market.

Bella has since been enjoying living in Los Angeles, owing her successful career to the move as she never would have received the same opportunities back in Australia. She told W Magazine: "Even though I wasn't working as an actress, there were meetings! And auditions! Back in Australia, I’d get an audition a month, and the rest of the time I'd be working at a law firm."

Indeed, the young actress has certainly made her mark on Tinseltown, garnering roles opposite Hollywood's best like Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows (2012), which was directed by the talented Tim Burton. Bella later starred opposite Hugh Grant in The Rewrite (2014).

Bella continued to build her acting resumé in 2016 with a main role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as well as a supporting role in the highly-stylized horror flick The Neon Demon, which also starred the talented Keanu Reeves and Christina Hendricks. Her star continues to rise in 2017 with her supporting role as Christian Grey's crazed ex-girlfriend in the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker (2017).

In 2016, Bella also became a regular on the hit Amazon original series The Man in the High Castle, produced by famed director Ridley Scott and shot in Vancouver. Bella, who learned German in school, plays German filmmaker Nicole Becker on the show and was glad for the opportunity to use her language skills. In addition to her role in 2017's Fifty Shades Darker, Bella can be seen in the film Professor Marston & The Wonder Women (2017), starring alongside Welsh actor Luke Evans.

Bella has dabbled in modeling, having been featured in the 2014 Spring/Summer collection for the high-fashion Italian brand Miu Miu alongside her The Neon Demon co-star Elle Fanning and Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o. Indeed, with both beauty and talent, the sky is the limit for this young actress.

Bella, 27, who collects skulls, is engaged to 48-year-old director Andrew Dominik.
