ANNE FLETCHER

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Anne Fletcher is one of the film industry’s most sought-after choreographers and directors.

Her passion for dancing came at a young age. She began teaching by the age of 13, and was dancing professionally at 15. To pursue her dreams, she moved to Los Angeles after graduating from high school. She appeared in shows such as The Tracy Ullman Show, The Smothers Brothers and the mini-series War and Remembrance.

She has appeared in many films as a dancer, including the 1994 films The Flintstones and The Mask, and Tank Girlin 1995. She also developed the choreography for the Oscar-nominated 1997 drama film Boogie Nights staring Mike Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, Julianna Moore, and Heather Graham and the 1997 comedy A Life Less Ordinary, which starred Ewan McGregor and Cameron Diaz.

She choreographed two Disney films: Ice Princess and The Pacifier. Outside of Disney, the choreographer/director also did some work in The 40 Year Old Virgin as well as Along Came Polly, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, The Longest Yard, and Bring it On.

In 2006, she not only choreographed but also directed the hit movie Step Up, which launched Channing Tatum to fame. The movie was such a success that it spawned several sequels. She has directed several non-dancing movies since then, including the successful comedies 27 Dresses and The Proposal. Her most recent work was The Guilt Trip, a comedy that teams Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen as a mother and son duo who set off on a road trip.
