ADAM DEVINE

Date of Birth: November 6, 1983

Adam Devine was born in Waterloo, Iowa to Penny and Dennis Devine, but was raised in Nebraska. He also has a younger sister, Brittani Devine. In June 1995, at the age of 11, Adam was hit by a 42-ton concrete truck while walking his bike across the street. Miraculously, he lived, but required multiple surgeries over three years for both of his fractured legs. It took him two years to learn to walk again.

Adam graduated from Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska in 2002, then attended Orange Coast College, where he met future fellow comedian and actor Blake Anderson. Adam later moved to Los Angeles, where after doing odd jobs such as selling Omaha Steaks and Time Life Books, he began working as a stand-up comedian and actor. In 2006, Adam and Blake, along with Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck, formed the sketch-comedy group "Mail Order Comedy." The group enjoyed great success on YouTube and Myspace.

In April 2008, the G4 television series Attack of the Show! featured the group’s music video “Wizards Never Die." A year later, they released "Purple Magic," a music album containing 14 tracks. On April 6, 2011, Comedy Central released an original series called Workaholics, which stars Adam, Blake, and Anders, and co-stars Kyle. All four of them also work as series creators and executive producers. The show was renewed for a seventh season.

Adam began receiving small roles in films such as Mama’s Boy (2007). He also appeared on TV shows such as Samantha Who?, Community, Arrested Development, and the Fox show Traffic Light. In 2012, he played Bumper Allen in the hit musical comedy film Pitch Perfect. For this role, he won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Villain and earned a nomination for Choice Movie Breakout. He also began dating his co-star Kelley Jakle around this time. Adam reprised his role as Bumper once again in the 2015 sequel Pitch Perfect 2.

Along with film and TV shows, this prolific actor has played recurring roles on the TV series Workaholics, Modern Family and is the voice actor for the character Pizza Steve on the Cartoon Network animated series Uncle Grandpa, which premiered on September 2, 2013. He stars in his own Comedy Central series, Adam Devine's House Party, which debuted in October 2013 and has been renewed for a fourth season.

Most recently, he starred alongside Zac Efron in the 2016 comedy feature film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, as well as the animated flick Ice Age: Collision Course (2016), and the comedy Why Him? (2016).

Adam is currently dating Pretty Little Liars actress Chloe Bridges, whom he has been in a relationship with since 2015.
