Tit-Coq

French Canadian, Tit-Coq (Gélinas) is a bastard child who was brought up in an orphanage. Now in the army during WWII, and finding himself in trouble before the Christmas leave, his commanding officer sends him to celebrate Christmas with a man he dislikes, Jean Paul.

Confronted by a family who is united and caring, Tit-Coq is seduced by the atmosphere and Jean Paul's sister, Marie-Ange (Miller). Although she states that his background means little, social and familial pressure soon threaten to part the couple.
