The Specialist: Portrait of a Modern Criminal

This documentary covers the 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem. At the time of the Second World War, Eichmann was a lieutenant colonel in the Third Reich-the person in charge of the transportation of Jews to concentration camps. In his defense, Eichmann claimed he was reluctantly following the orders of his superiors. However, the man who was called "the Specialist" took part in the Wannsee conference in 1942, during which the "final solution" (sending Jews to death camps to be exterminated) was developed. Eichmann defended himself by saying he was only present to take notes. Nevertheless, he confirmed that he was present at death camps to witness the extermination methods. Despite all this, he continued to deny his responsibility in the genocide.
