The House on August Street

The House on August Street

Beate Berger, founder of "Beith Ahawah Kinderheim" in Berlin in 1922, a home for Jewish children in need, had the foresight and determination to save her children from the Nazis. She brought them to the new "Ahawah" home she built in the Haifa area of Palestine. While Beate Berger succeeded in rescuing several hundred children, she also gave them the things they needed most: love, hope and security. Join two of the orphan children as they go back in time, and relive the years they spent on August Street.
