The Dance of Reality

Chile, early 1930s. Young Alejandro Jodorowsky has a strict father: a Russian Jewish émigré named Jaime who is a great admirer of Stalin. Jaime owns a lingerie shop in the small town of Tocopilla. The boy, however, receives an abundance of affection from his mother Sara, who sees him as the reincarnation of her own father. Jaime and his family are constant victims of racism because the rest of the townsfolk consider them outsiders.
