The Benefit of the Doubt

David, a Belgian drama teacher, has a wife he loves and two small children. After returning from a vacation in the Vosges with his friends, David is questioned by the police in regards to a murder. When the investigation uncovers the fact that David lives a double life in Poland, he becomes the main suspect in the case. Claiming his innocence, David directs the police towards a homeless man he saw on the night of the murder. However, his wife and friends begin to have doubts about David’s innocence, except for his best friend Noël, who, at his request, sets out in search of the mysterious itinerant.
