Suzie

One Halloween evening, Charles, a 10-year-old autistic boy, gets into the taxi of Suzie, a 58-year-old depressed woman. She discovers in Charles' possession a paper written by his mother, saying that he's to be delivered to his father. However, his father, who is about to leave on a trip, returns the child to his mother.

Suzie brings him back, but soon after the father also arrives, and an argument breaks out between Charles' mother and father. Realizing that the parents don't know what to do with their child, she leaves, with Charles in tow. In a clandestine gambling den, she makes enough at poker to buy two plane tickets to Morocco, where she hopes to find her own daughter, taken away by her father more than twenty years ago.
