Stalags - Holocaust and Pornography in Israel

Stalags were pocketbooks written in the 1960s telling stories about lusty female SS officers sexually abusing camp prisoners. They were usually read by men who bought them for their sexy covers and for their strong sexual content. The fad lasted only a few years and the popularity of the books declined after a trial of some of the authors who were accused of distributing anti-Semitic pornography. This film introduces the creators of this genre for the first time and questions the connection between pornography and the Holocaust, which continues in the representation of the Holocaust in Israel today. It is a fascinating account of a little-known subject.
