Speak Up

What do today’s black women go through while living in French-speaking parts of Europe? The director tries to provide some answers by giving the floor to 24 of them, descendants of the colonies of Africa and the West Indies. Whether Belgian or French, they recount their experiences of racial and sexual discrimination at work, school, in love or simply on the street. Theatrical rehearsals and stage performances addressing these issues punctuate their testimonies.
