Sia, the Myth of the Python
Sia, the Myth of the Python
On the advice of his priests, a tyrant king orders the sacrifice of a young woman to a mystical snake god, in the belief that this will restore prosperity to his kingdom of Koumbi. The beautiful Sia is chosen as the victim. She is betrothed, however, to Mamadi, a valiant and honorable lieutenant in the army, who rebels against the decision to perform this ritual. Things begin to go awry, and the ensuing struggles and revelations confront issues of honor, corruption and power.
