Rann (Hindi)

In an era when news channels exist to mint money, Vijay Harshvardhan Malik (Amitabh Bachchan), the owner of India 24/7, is a man of ethics. So is Purab (Ritesh Deshmukh), a young Journalist. What happens when honest media person lock horns with power-hungry politicians like Mohan Pandey (Paresh Rawal), and over ambitious businessmen like Naveen Shankalya (Rajat Kapoor)?

There's also a horde of people who consider everything to be a source of entertainment and money: Amrish Kakkar (Mohnish Behl) owns a news channel that converts news into entertainment, which in turn brings him the moolah. Nandita Sharma (Gul Panag) is an ad filmmaker, who thinks of herself first and doesn't care about what's happening in the country; the typical youth of today.

The film delves into the lives of each; it looks at they way their beliefs and actions affect the way media functions in the country. How much truth there really is behind what we see on the TV screen? Should we believe it all? Or take it with a pinch of salt?
