Metamporphosis: How a Community Changes

This documentary brings together numerous diverse inner city Edmonton cultural groups and examines how each new culture, many of them new to Edmonton and to Canada, can help other new cultural groups from different parts of the world as they each struggle with what it is to be a citizen in a new land. The film explores how long-term chronic illness can actually be alleviated by bringing diverse groups together to share in each others’ struggle. The screening will be followed by a public discussion and Q&A with Steve Ashworth, Television Instructor from Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts and Dianne Gillespie of Healthy Alberta Communities, the sponsor of the film.
