In Transition 2.0

2009's film In Transition 1.0 captured the emergent Transition movement, a vibrant grassroots response to peak oil, climate change and economic crisis, much of it filmed by the initiatives themselves. In Transition 2.0 updates the story, showing how much this movement has grown since the first film, and the scale of the change it is catalysing. You'll see stories of the Brixton Pound's pioneering 'pay-by-text' scheme, the Japanese community energy company set up in response to Fukashima, London's only underground station with a food garden on it, tale after tale of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It's the perfect antidote to gloom-and-doom.
