Imogene

When successful New York playwright Imogene (Kristen Wiig) is dumped by her boyfriend, she stages a fake suicide attempt to get his attention. Unfortunately, the plan backfires and Imogene just ends up in the custody of her mother Zelda (Annette Benning), a struggling gambling addict.

It’s at Zelda’s house in Atlantic City that Imogene discovers her room has been loaned out to a twenty-something boy named Lee (Darren Criss). Imogene also learns that her mother is dating a suspicious CIA agent (Matt Dillon), that her younger brother is obsessed with crabs and that her father may actually be alive. Imogene sets off on a road trip to find this mysterious father of hers and quickly realizes that the life she had in New York may not have been so terrible after all.
