Everybody's Couch

When her visit with her boyfriend in Vancouver goes badly, Zoe leaves him and decides to return to her mother in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Broke, the young woman has to hitchhike there, relying on the generosity of the good people she meets. She crosses paths with Alex, a French-speaking office worker who offers her his couch for the night. Moved by Zoe's carefree ways, Alex falls immediately in love and decides to abandon everything to accompany her on the road. Initially reluctant to get involved, Zoe finally gives in. As they transverse Canada together, they get to know each other and reflect on new meaning in their lives.
