Dreaming Awake & the Exquisite Doors of the Fractal Self

Birdie, a sixteen year old runaway, is haunted by a personified version of her own ego. Escaping an abusive relationship, she leaves town with nothing but her phantom ego in tow. On the road, she meets a beguiling group of hitchhiking hippie sisters who drag her into the mountains to a rural music festival. Here, Birdie takes LSD for the first time, shattering her reality and throwing her into a psychedelic realm where she must face off to the death, with alternate versions of her own being. An esoteric interpretation of a psychedelic experience, Dreaming Awake & The Exquisite Doors of the Fractal Self explores the complexity of ego identity and its' relationship to the inherent self.
