At the risk of losing her job, Stephanie goes on holiday to the Republic of Santiago with her husband Eric. The Montreal photographer sees the vacation as a last chance to save her marriage, which has been compromised by Eric's infidelity. En route to a national park, the Quebecers stop at a gas station, where Stephanie snaps a photograph of a horribly disfigured man. Big mistake on her part, because he's the pyromaniac serial killer who's been running rampant for the past few weeks on the highways of Santiago. He tracks Stephanie and Eric to a ghost town inside the park, where they get unexpected help from a suspicious policeman who lost his brother at the hands of the frightening assassin.
