Zoe Saldana says she was very much looking forward to seeing the old cast again in the sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but she didn’t look forward to spending hours getting the green makeup applied for her role as Gamora. She admits that Baby Groot has Gamora’s heart because he’s such an innocent creature. She explains that Gamora and Peter get along as friends because they have the same kind of backgrounds and she says working with Chris Pratt is wonderful because he’s so positive and so grateful to be where he is in his career. She adds she’s never felt so much at ease working with someone who’s become a mega-star, but explains it’s because he has remained so humble and grounded and approachable – and funny.
