Rob Reiner (Flipped) Interview

Rob Reiner has turned several books into films before, but adapting "Flipped" for the big screen had special meaning for the veteran director. He and his son used to read it together for hours and Reiner always felt it would be perfect to be made into a movie.

Flipped stars Madeline Carroll and newcomer Callan McAuliffe as two teens who meet in second grade, live across the street from each other, and have very different opinions as to the status of their relationship. Bryce (McAuliffe) believes they will never be anything more than friends, however Juli (Madeline Carroll) has always known they should be together as a couple.

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Rob via satellite from New York about casting this touching coming of age story, how relatable the characters were for him, and how much he enjoyed adapting it for the big screen.
