Nat Faxon and Jim Rash Interview

The Way, Way Back is the directorial debut for Oscar-winning The Descendants screenwriters Nat Faxon and Jim Rash. The film made instant headlines at Sundance, not just for the love showered on the film by audiences and critics alike, but also for the $10 million shelled out by Fox Searchlight for distribution rights. The coming of age tale has a stellar cast that includes Toni Collette, Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney, Robb Cordry, Maya Rudolph, and Amanda Peet. Co-writer/co-director Rash, better known as Dean Pelton on TV's "Community," also makes an appearance, as does Nat Faxon.

Tribute.ca had the opportunity to speak with Nat and Jim during a promotional stop in Toronto about why they work so well together, gathering the high caliber of talent for the film and casting a bright up-and-coming young Canadian in the lead role.
