Interview with Louis Letterier (Clash of the Titans)

Director Louis Letterier is no stranger when it comes to working with special effects. After being at the helm for The Incredible Hulk, Letterier was more than ready to tackle the remake of Clash of the Titans, based on the 1981 adventure film about the myth of Perseus. Shot in Leterrier’s high-octane style and set for release around the world in both 2D and 3D versions, Clash of the Titans is an action-packed epic that plunges into the world of mortals and gods, with spectacular settings and amazing creatures which have never before been portrayed on this scale. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds in an attempt to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer spoke with Letterier in Los Angeles about the challenges he faced making the film, his love for the original film, and casting the amazing Worthington as his star.
