Interview: Katie Featherston & Micah Sloat

Paranormal Activity is one of those movies that has caught the attention of moviegoers slowly but surely across North America. Terrifying audiences in select cities over the last several weeks, Paranormal Activity and distributing studio Paramount have been heavily promoting the film's website and it's "Demand It" feature which allows interested viewers to demand that the film play in their area. For a movie that was made for about eleven thousand dollars, the box office returns thus far have exceeded just over thirty million! This weekend the movie opens in full force across Canada and the United States.

The story follows a young, middle class couple who become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic in their new home. The presence is most active in the middle of the night, so they set up a video camera to try and get to the bottom of this mystery.

In this Canadian exclusive interview, Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer had the chance to chat with the film’s two stars, Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat, to discuss the amazing success of this little movie that happened to catch the attention of Hollywood heavyweight Steven Spielberg. The rest, as they say, is history!
