Jessica Chastain - The Tree of Life Interview

You may not have heard of Jessica Chastain just yet, but she's at the top of the Hollywood buzz list these days. Though she's filmed several high-profile films over the last several years (including the adaptation of the popular novel The Help and the Helen Mirren thriller The Debt), none of them has been released yet… until now. First comes Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life (which won the prestigious Palme d'Or Award at Cannes), in which the Juilliard graduate stars alongside Brad Pitt and Sean Penn as a Texas mother of three dealing with various family struggles and tragedies. Both The Help and The Debt open later this summer).

Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Jessica during a promotional stop in Toronto about analyzing the script for The Tree of Life, working with Brad Pitt, and where she was when she found out the film won the Palme d'Or.
