Sir Ian McKellen Interview

Sir Ian McKellen didn’t have to think too long when director Peter Jackson approached him about revisiting his Lord of the Rings character Gandalf for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The classically trained actor was eager to put on his cloak and beard and go back to Middle-earth to reunite with many of the cast members he had worked with before.

Tribute.ca spoke with Ian about what it was like returning to this character, his thoughts on Martin Freeman (who plays Bilbo) and what inspired him to become an actor.
