Singer/actor Harry Connick Jr. was immediately on board for his latest film, Dolphin Tale mainly because he got to play a dad. Based on real life events, Based on true events, Dolphin Tale centers around the friendship between a boy and a dolphin whose tail was lost in a crab trap.

Bonnie Laufer from Tribute spoke with Harry in Clearwater, Florida (where the film takes place) about working with a dolphin co-star, how playing a dad came so naturally to him, making sure his fingers didn’t get nipped by his animal co-stars and where he loves to get away from it all with his family.
